Robotic coding
05/05/2019

The methodological materials produced in this project will be distributed on website to make them accessible to the general public all over Europe, giving teachers the opportunity to develop innovative, children-oriented pedagogical approaches to improve the quality of education in the long term.

After the teaching learning seminars, methodological materials will be uploaded there.

Children will learn ICT literacy, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills by programming small robots, as well as off-screen and practical activities.
There are many apps that teach children to code. We will start with screen-free and hands –on  activities. (These are called un-plugged activities).
  1. Robot Turtles – a gameboard that teaches the fundamentals of programming. Match each player’s turtle to the corresponding jewel. Through a series of cards that kids pick, commands, twists and turns.
  2. Left Brain craft Brain called If/then. It’s similar to “Simon says” game.
  3. Handmade Kids Art -creating jewelry.
  4. Make a spy decoder to send secret messages to friends.
  5. Bee. Bot - a cute little robotic bee that children have to command using arrows, the children can program 40 actions and the watch Bee. Bot take.Off.
  6. Daisy the Dinosaur -using simple drag and drop commands for Daisy. Daisy will jump, turn, grow and spin.
